A win for MTU would see them leapfrog Police Utd into 4th place. Police have lost 2 on the bounce and with Muangthong unbeaten at home this season, the form book points towards a home win.
Also there are half a dozen FA Cup ties being played on Wednesday too:
Samut Prakarn United v Samut Prakarn Customs
Khorat Sport School v Chantaburi
Kasetsart v Globex
PTT Rayong v Saraburi
Songkla v Yasotin United
Ratchaburi v BBCU
The tie that grabs my attention is Ratchaburi v BBCU. Ratchaburi sit top of the Central/Eastern Division 2 and are currently unbeaten this season. TPL bound, BBCU, lost their first competitive game of the season last Sunday and will want to bounce back quickly. Both sides share similar ambitions to win promotion from their respective leagues this season and it remains to be seen how highly prioritised the FA Cup is for them.
Another game that looks interesting on paper is Samut Prakarn United v Samut Prakarn Customs. Will it be treated fiercely as a local derby or just another game played in front of a few hundred spectators? I would guess the latter.
