Sunday 25 August Review

TPL

Buriram Utd 5-1 Samut Songkhram
Chainat 2-2 Army Utd
Chiang Rai Utd 2-2 Police Utd
Muangthong Utd 3-2 Bangkok Utd
Songkhla 2-2 Osotspa Saraburi

It was the late late show at Muangthong as two goals deep into injury time saw them beat Bangkok Utd 3-2. Panupong's 84th minute own goal seemed to have the points heading back to Din Daeng. However, there was a sting in the tail for Bangkok United with Kim Yoo Jin levelling in the 94th minute before Edivaldo grabbed the winner one minute later. Muangthong's third successive 3-2 home win kept them top of the table.
Any lingering jet lag from Buriram's trip to Iran was wiped out as the swept to a 5-1 win over Samut Songkhram. Carmelo Gonzalez was the hero of the day scoring four of Buriram's goals. Patino scored the other while Guy Hubert replied for the Mackerels.
The remaining games all ended in 2-2 draws. Narul's goal midway through the second period earned struggling Chiang Rai Utd a point against Police while two late goals from Atirat ended Songkhla's goal drought as they salvaged a point at home to Osotspa. Yannick 71st minute goal quickly cancelled out Bjorn Lindemann's goal five minutes earlier to make it 2-2 between Chainat and Army.

Division 1

Ayutthaya 1-3 Air Force
Siam Navy 1-1 Krabi
Singh Tarua 2-1 Phuket
Sriracha 1-2 PTT Rayong

The three teams involved in the promotion chase all won to keep it tight at the top. Early strikes from Kirati and Tirer helped PTT Rayong on their way to a 2-1 win at Sriracha while a Kouassi Yao Hermann double and a Jun Uruno goal eased Air Force to a 3-1 win at Ayutthaya.
Singh Tarua came from behind to move back into third place. Alex gave Phuket an early lead but Ivan levelled before the break. Leandro struck in the 55th minute to win the contest for Tarua.
Siam Navy's point at home to Krabi moved them out of the bottom 4. The Sattahip club were denied all three points when Valci Junior struck in the 90th minute
