Sunday 23 March Review

TPL

BEC Tero 1-1 Chonburi
Chainat 1-1 Osotspa Saraburi
Bangkok Utd 2-2 Singh Tarua
Bangkok Glass 3-0 Buriram Utd

It's been a disastrous fortnight for Buriram United. Four straight defeats in all competitions has seen them fall into the worst run in modern times. Yesterday's 3-0 defeat at Bangkok Glass was possibly the lowest point in some of their fans memories. A fine individual goal from Leesaw on the stroke of half time gave Glass the lead. The same man made it 2-0 after the hour mark although there was a strong hint of offside in the build up. In injury time, Suradet added a third as Bangkok Glass recorded their first ever win over Buriram United.

The other three matches ended in draws. Chonburi kept up their impressive unbeaten run over BEC Tero. The Sharks took a first half lead when Wanit sidefooted home Hashimoto's low cross. The Fire Dragons levelled in the 50th minute through Daiki Iwamasa's header. The game continued to flow from end to end with Thiago hitting the post and in injury time, Tero had a goal chalked off.

Chianat and Osotspa also shared a 1-1 draw. Aron da Silva was credited with Osotspa's opener but it took a massive deflection off a Chainat defender on route to goal. Nikola Nikezic headed Chianat's goal in the 57th minute before Sumanya blazed a penalty over the bar.

Leandro scored twice as Singh Tarua earned a decent point at Bangkok United. In between his goals, Wichaya scored from the spot and Paitoon netted from close range to delight the True Raiders.

Division 1

TTM Customs 2-0 Ang Thong
Nakhon Pathom Utd 1-1 Phitsanulok
BBCU 3-2 Pattaya Utd

TTM continue to be the first division's surprise package. Their 2-0 win over Ang Thong moved them to the top of the table. Jacques Nguemaleu and Lassana Sidibe were the men on target for the Tobacco Monopoly.
Julius Oiboh struck right at the death to earn BBCU a 3-2 win over Pattaya. The Pink Panthers had earlier thrown away a two goal advantage before the former Air Force man spared their blushes.
Phitsanulok have now played four and drawn four. Diego headed them ahead before Leslie Ablorh's header made it 1-1.
