BCC Tero 0-3 Chiang Rai Utd

Chiang Rai United easily progressed to the last 32 of the Toyota League Cup after brushing aside BCC Tero.

The TPL club fielded a strong side but they had to wait until first half stoppage time to open the scoring. Ryan Marques' deflected shot trundled into the bottom corner after the Tero youth side had failed to clear the initial danger.

Peerapong then made it 2-0 nine minutes after the break when his shot appeared to take a deflection on route to goal.

In injury time, Leandro Assumpcao netted from close range to wrap up the 3-0 victory.

Although well beaten, BCC Tero acquitted themselves well, particularly in the first 45 minutes. The closest they came was an angled shot from Salia which fizzed across the goal line. Also, their captain Sammy Dorgbele looks like he has a promising future in the game.

For Chiang Rai, I thought Uilian Souza was their best player. He sits in front of the back 4 and patrols the midfield. Fernando Abreu had a decent game in central defence and appears to be a decent addition too.
