Saturday 22 March Review

TPL

Police 1-3 Army
PTT Rayong 0-1 Suphanburi
Chiang Rai Utd 4-2 Samut Songkhram
Ratchaburi 2-0 Air Force
Songkhla 0-4 Muangthong
TOT 3-1 Sisaket

Muangthong put some daylight between themselves and the rest of the pack with a comfortable 4-0 win at Songkhla. It took the leaders only 3 minutes to take the lead when Todsapol headed home following a set piece. In the second half, Datsakorn scored a rare header to make it 2-0 before Milan Bubalo netted his first goal for the club. Teerasil compounded a miserable day for the majority of the 12,700 in attendance as he made it 4-0 in injury time.

Chiang Rai moved off the bottom with a 4-2 win over Samut Songkhram. A Ryan Marques penalty, and goals from Phichitpong, Leandro and Peerapong moved the Fighting Beetles out of the relegation zone. Samut Songkhram replace Chiang Rai in 20th spot.

Another side in danger are Air Force. They lost 2-0 at Ratchaburi yesterday. Goals from Heberty and Douglas shortly before the interval prolonged Ratchaburi's unbeaten start to the campaign. The Dragons are now perched in a lofty second position.

Army United submitted their best performance to date with a 3-1 triumph at Police. Tanakorn's cool dink over the keeper in the 10th minute gave them the lead, and the same man lost his marker to double the advantage two minutes after the restart. Noto finished of a breakaway to secure the 3 points in the 83rd minute. Surachart's header at the death was a mere consolation for Police.

In the late game, TOT beat Sisaket 3-1 to move into mid-table. An Apinan header gave them a 23rd minute lead and midway through the second half Prakit made it 2-0. Noppol found the back of the net directly from a corner kick to kill the contest although there was to be no clean sheet as Pichit scored for Sisaket in the 96th minute.

After a poor start, Suphanburi are finally moving in the right direction. Their second win in a row came at PTT Rayong. Bireme Diouf's strike just short of the hour was enough to win it 1-0 for Suphanburi.

Bangkok FC 0-0 Saraburi
Chiang Mai 0-0 Roi Et Utd
