Weekend Review 13/14 August

TPL
Sisaket 2-1 Army Utd
Chonburi 1-1 Buriram PEA
BEC Tero 0-0 Samut Songkram
Police Utd 0-1 Siam Navy
Khon Kaen 2-2 TTM Pichit
Chiang Rai 1-1 Sriracha
Pattaya 2-1 TOT
Bangkok Glass 2-1 Thai Port
Muangthong 0-0 Osotspa Saraburi

The big match between Chonburi and PEA Buriram was an eventful game both on and off the park. It finished 1-1 between the top 2, yet third placed Muangthong failed to take advantage as they were held to a goalless draw by bogey side Osotspa Saraburi. Robbie Fowler made his first start for the Kirins but failed to make any impression.
Army Utd, Thai Port and TOT all lost away fixtures 2-1. Army went down at Sisaket while Thai Port were sunk by Bangkok Glass with their winner predictably coming from ex Port favorite, Sarayoot. TOT won't be happy with the result against Pattaya but they will be encouraged by their lively performance.
Poor form continues to haunt Police Utd and BEC Tero. The Fire Dragons fought out a disappointing stalemate with Samut Songkram and Police United lost 1-0 at home to bottom side Siam Navy. That's now 6 defeats on the spin for the Pathumthani side.
The mid-table quintet of Thai Port, Bec Tero, Army Utd and Police United should be quietly looking over their shoulders as another couple of defeats could see them dragged into the relegation mire.

Division 1
JW Rangsit 1-1 Phuket
Suphanburi 1-1 RBAC
Chainat 4-2 Bangkok Utd
Raj Pracha 2-1 BBCU
Chantaburi 3-1 Chiang Mai

The 2 promotion chasing sides from Bangkok both lost away from home this weekend. BBCU surprisingly lost at Raj Pracha, while less surprisingly Bangkok United were defeated at Chainat 4-2.
The Latkrabang derby was a one sided affair as Customs ran out 4-0 winners. JW Rangsit picked up a useful point with a draw against Phuket as did RBAC at Suphanburi, although the Ladprao based side still remain at the foot of the table.
The Iron Bulls are now in one of  the relegation spots as they suffered their 4th consecutive loss. This time losing 3-0 at Saraburi.
