Weekend Round-Up 4/5 June

TPL
Khon Kaen 0-2 Bangkok Glass
Chonburi 1-1 Muangthong
Sisaket 1-0 Buriram PEA
Police 0-1 Thai Port
Army 3-3 Pattaya
Chiang Rai 2-0 TOT
BEC Tero 1-3 Osotspa Saraburi
Sriracha 1-2 TTM Pichit
Samut Songkram 2-0 Siam Navy

Buriram PEA finally succumbed to their first defeat of the season as they went down 1-0 at Sisaket. The current league leaders had a frustrating afternoon as their Issan rivals fought hard for a memorable 1-0 win.
The loss didn’t cause much harm to their title challenge as 2nd placed Chonburi were held to a 1-1 draw by Muangthong United. There is still a 7 point gap between the top 2 although Chonburi do have a game in hand.
Army United and Pattaya United played out an entertaining 3-3 draw. The home side twice came from behind with Leandro netting a brace in the process.
Bangkok Glass’ match at Khon Kaen didn’t reach the entertaining heights of the last week’s 5-3 epic with Police United.  It wasn’t a great game but BG did enough to beat a weak Khon Kaen side 2-0.
BEC Tero's woeful form continued as they lost 1-3 at home to Osotspa M-150 Saraburi. Tero coach, Peter Butler, will be hoping that the owners of the club won’t lose patience with his side’s current poor form.

Division 1
Customs 1-4 Bkk United
Chantaburi 0-0 JW Rangsit
Saraburi 5-2 RBAC
Chainat 1-1 Suphanburi
Bangkok FC 1-2 PTT Rayong
Thai Honda 1-3 Songkla
Chiang Mai 0-2 Raj Pracha
Buriram FC 3-0 BBCU
Air Force 1-1 Phuket

The last undefeated record in Division 1 went as BBCU were humbled at Buriram FC 3-0. The victory for Buriram lifts them back above BBCU to the summit of the league on goal difference. Both teams are 9 points clear of 4th place and barring a catastrophe, they’ll both be TPL clubs next season.
Bangkok United moved up to third with an away 4-1 victory at Customs. Romain Gasmi scored 2 goals and is now the league’s joint leading goal scorer on 11.
The bottom 2 sides, RBAC and Thai Honda, both lost again. It’s not time to wave the white flag of surrender yet, but both need to drastically improve if they are going to avoid the drop.

Division 2 (Bangkok)
Raj Vithi 3-0 Assumption Thonburi
Thai Fleet 0-1 NSRU
Kasem Bundit 0-3 Samut Prakarn United
Jamjuree 1-1 Mapthaput Rayong
Globex 0-1 Kasetsart
Thai Airways Luk Issan 1-3 Prachinburi
Nontaburi 1-0 Thayaburi Asia United
North Bangkok FC 2-3 Bangkok Christian

Raj Vithi and Kasetsart won again and it sets up an intriguing clash when both meet next Sunday at Kasetsart University.
Prachinburi and Nontaburi kept in check with the promotion pack with victories over lowly opposition.
