Saturday 7th January - Review

TPL
TOT 1-1 Police Utd
Bangkok Glass 2-0 Sisaket
Osotspa 3-0 TTM Phichit
Khon Kaen 1-1 Thai Port

The league season has finally ended for Thai Port and Bangkok Glass. The Glass Rabbits have almost certainly secured a 4th place finish as two late goals from Rafael helped them overcome Sisaket 2-0. Thai Port now have a four week break until the Toyota League Cup final against Buriram. They finished off their league season with a 1-1 draw at relegated Khon Kaen.
Struggling TOT could only take a point at home to a Police United side with nothing to play for, and Osotspa beat TTM 3-0.

Division 1
Phuket 1-4 Bangkok FC
Raj Pracha 2-4 Bangkok United
Air Force 3-3 Saraburi
PTT Rayong 2-1 Customs

Bangkok FC and Air Force Utd are now safe from the drop as Customs were beaten in Rayong. The Iron Bulls scored an impressive 4-1 win at troubled FC Phuket with Semerpak and Lee Tuck notching a brace apiece. A 3-3 draw for Air Force at Ramkhamhaeng Uni was also adequate for the Airmen as they moved 5 points ahead of Customs with one game left to play. In the other game, Bangkok United ensured a 6th place finish with a 4-2 win at Raj Pracha.

FA Cup Semi Final
Songkla 2-2 Muangthong
Buriram PEA 2-0 Army Utd

Muangthong United now stand between Buriram PEA completing the league and FA Cup double. PEA were never really tested against Army United as two first half goals for the Thunder Castle saw them ease into the final. Muangthong's evening was slightly more difficult though. They needed a penalty shoot out to finally see off a stubborn Songkla side.
The final will be played this Wednesday at the Supachalasai Stadium.
