AFC Asian Cup: The Road to Australia

The road to Australia 2015 begins with Thailand hosting Kuwait at the Rajamangala Stadium next Wednesday. The Thais will have been buoyed by their recent performance in the AFF Cup despite the fact that they lost to Singapore in the two-legged final. The national side will be looking towards the west of Asia with Lebanon and Iran competing in Group B alongside Kuwait. The top two will progress from the qualification stages to the finals while there is also a best third-placed spot up for grabs.
Iran will inevitably start as favourites, so Winnie Schafar must surely have pencilled in home wins against Kuwait and Lebanon if his troops are to progress.
Thailand's fixture list is as follows:

6 Feb - Kuwait (H)
22 Mar - Lebanon (A)
15 Oct - Iran (A)
15 Nov - Iran (H)
19 Nov - Kuwait (A)
5 Mar (2014) - Lebanon (H)

All home matches are presently scheduled for the Rajamangala Stadium.
