Kashiwa Reysol 1-0 Buriram United
Guangzhou Evergrande 1-3 Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors
Buriram United were nursing a third consecutive defeat in Group H after losing 1-0 to Kashiwa Reysol in Japan. The only goal of the game was scored midway through the first half when Leandro Domingues was allowed to waltz through the Buriram defence before slotting past Sivaruck. Shortly before the break, Buriram were reduced to 10 men when the cumbersome Ekkwalla was dismissed for receiving two yellow cards. The Thunder Castle's best chance to level came on 55 minutes, but Ohandza fluffed his lines after being put clear through on the goalkeeper. The J-League side held on cautiously to their 1-0 lead as Buriram tired in the closing stages.
In the other group game, Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande were dealt a blow with a 3-1 home defeat against Jeonbuk. The South
Koreans scored two goals in injury time to move to the top of Group H on 9 points. Guangzhou and Kashiwa have 7 while Buriram are fourth with 6 points.
For Buriram United to qualify for the last 16, they need to beat Guangzhou Evergrande and hope that Jeonbuk don't lose at home to Kashiwa Reysol on the final match day.

Kashiwa Reysol v Buriram United
Guangzhou Evergrande v Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors
As we enter the penultimate round of fixtures, all four teams still have realistic hopes of clinching spots in the last 16. Guangzhou Evergrande lead the way on 7 points and are closely followed by Jeonbuk and Buriram on 6 with Kashiwa two points adrift on 4.
Buriram United are currently third in the group after suffering back-to-back defeats to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. The South Korean side sit second as their better head-to-head record unfortunately trumps Buriram's superior goal difference.
Kashiwa Reysol have had a troublesome time since winning their first J-League title last year. They are currently lingering just above the relegation zone in the J-League, and a loss to Buriram on Matchday 5 would add to their woes with elimination from the AFC Champions League.
Buriram probably need at least 4 more points to qualify so losing is not an option in Japan. The Thai champions have defended poorly in the last couple of matches and will need to tighten up at the back. However with the lively Achaempong and the tenacious Ohandza in the squad, you always feel that Buriram can find goals.
Guangzhou pummelled Jeonbuk 5-1 in South Korea on Matchday 1 and another victory for the Chinese side would ensure their furtherance to the next round.

Buriram & Chonburi Ready to Embark on AFC Crusades

Buriram United welcome Japanese side, Kashiwa Reysol, to the New I-Mobile as the stadium takes it baptism in hosting Asian Champions League football. It's difficult to predict how Buriram will fair against a higher level of opposition, but we do know that Buriram are strong defensively and can grind out wins when they have to. Kashiwa are experiencing Champions league football for the first time. The Sun Kings caused somewhat of a surprise when they won the J-League last season. It was a fine achievement considering they were only promoted from the J2 league in 2010. Last Saturday, Kasiwha added to their trophy collection when they beat Emperor Cup winners, FC Tokyo, 2-1 in the Japanese Super Cup final.
The other two sides that make up the group are K-League winners Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Chinese champions Guangzhou Evergrande. In modern day Champions league football, it's a rare occurrence to have four champions of domestic leagues meeting in the group stage.

Yangon United v Chonburi
Home United v Citizen AA
Group G in the AFC Cup is certainly a winnable one for Chonburi. The Sharks will be looking to get off to winning ways when they clash with Yangon United at the Thuwunna Youth Training Center Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. Yangon United currently sit 5th in the Myanmar National League and they were recently beaten 2-0 in a friendly by BEC Tero 2-0. The Burmese side might have the advantage in terms of match sharpness, but Chonburi have the stronger squad of players.
Later on Wednesday evening, Home United of Singapore host Citizen AA from Hong Kong in the group's other contest.
