Samut Songkhram remain rooted to the bottom of the TPL after they lost 2-1 to Chonburi at the Army Stadium in Bangkok.
Anderson dos Santos opened the scoring midway through the first half with a header from six yards. The Brazilian was set up by Chonlatit who'd lobbed the ball back form the dead ball line. Pinto for some reason went on a walkabout leaving his net vacant.
Chonburi doubled their tally in spectacular fashion in the 54th minute. An unmarked Thiago was given time and space to direct his bicycle kick past Pinto.
Yusuke Kato pulled one back for Samut Songkhram as he guided Issarapong's cut back past Sinthaweechai.
Despite never looking in danger it was a nervy last 15 minutes for the Chonburi supporters. They were however given a first glimpse of new Portuguese striker Jaime Braganca. I think it's fair to say that it was an interesting introduction from the substitute.
Samut Songkhram remain bottom and on this form it seems like old father time is going to catch up on their TPL status this year. Chonburi are only one point behind league leaders Muanghthong and in this unpredictable season anything could happen.
