Ekapoom's 57th minute winner sealed a 1-0 win for Muangthong United as they began Leg 2 with a 1-0 victory over Samut Songkhram. Chonburi remain five points behind in second with three second half goals seeing them to a comfortable 3-0 over BEC Tero. Buriram United now trail Muangthong by 12 points after they were held at home by Esan Utd.

Elsewhere, there were draws at Nong Prue, Thammasart, Tinsulanon and the Army Stadium, while the Rajamangala and Saraburi stadiums witnessed home victories. The Big Bang's 3-2 win over TOT was their first home triumph since the opening day of the season. The return of Lazarus Kaimbi's to Osotspa ended pleasantly as he netted an 86th minute winner to give his side a 2-1 victory over Chainat.

Ratchaburi extended their lead to six points with their 2-0 win at JW Rangsit. Krabi were surprisingly beaten at home by Siam Navy which meant that Suphanburi moved into second and Sriracha jumped into third after the pair enjoyed 3-0 victories.

Bangkok United and PTT Rayong also won to keep the gap between second and sixth to three points.

It was a good evening for Air Force and FC Phuket as they moved out of the relegation places courtesy of 1-0 away triumphs. Saraburi and Pattalung replaced them in the drop zone after away losses.
